Biscoe Wilson Architects designed a new State High School for Calliope, west of Gladstone, in two stages.
The buildings included Administration, Resource Centre, Multi-purpose Hall, Hospitality Training Centre, Trade Skills Workshops, Science Laboratories, General Learning Areas and Canteen.
Bulimba State School’s new Library Building incorporates 10 General Learning Areas, a Library / Resource Centre, Rooftop Terrace and linkages to the steep site on several levels.
The new Performing Arts Centre at CHSHS incorporates state of the art audio visual facilities with bio box and green room, a 300 seat auditorium, general learning areas for music including practice rooms, back of house facilities, foyer and kiosk.
Constructed for Prep and Grades 1 and 2, the building houses 7 general learning areas, under-croft with amenities, and underground car-parking.
Three buildings have been constructed at Springfield Central State High School: a 4 storey Student Learning Centre with 17 classrooms and under-croft, a two-storey specialist learning facility for dance, drama and multi-media, a Multipurpose Hall with team amenities, kinesiology and general learning spaces and public facing facilities shared with the Ipswich City Council.
New science facilities, flexible learning areas and general learning areas were provided with a large auditorium volume acting as an acoustic shield to the major road to the edge of the building.
A new building was constructed at Kelvin Grove SC for the first year of Grade 7 in High School in Queensland. The 4 storey structure was constructed over a steep slope and incorporated a Special Education Unit, General Learning Areas and Collaborative Spaces.
Additional general learning areas were provided for growth at Mt Gravatt SHS with linkages to the steel site and an under-croft to allow for future expansion.
New general learning areas with specialist art and flexible learning facilities, drama facilities, an upper level under-croft for future expansion and basement carparking were provided on the steep site between the existing building fabric.
New General Learning Areas including specialist Robotics facilities were provided on a steep site with linkages provided to the main school buildings and landscaping improvements to interstitial spaces.
