Biscoe Wilson Architects designed and documented major extensions and alterations to the existing Bellbowrie Shopping centre in the western suburbs of Brisbane. The 3,000 square metre addition doubled the size of the community shopping centre, and introduced a full size Coles Supermarket, new specialty shops, a new hardware building, and reconfiguration of the existing centre and carpark.
The design focused on natural light and ventilation, allowing the centre’s arcade to be used as a community meeting place and make the most of Brisbane’s temperate climate.
