Biscoe Wilson was commissioned by the Department of Housing to design and document a public housing development for 10 apartments. The apartments contained a range of 1 and 2 bedroom designs that were suitable for people with a variety of physical abilities. Adaptable, non adaptable, and semi adaptable apartments were included in the mix. The intention of the Department of Housing is to provide well designed public housing solutions that integrate into local communities. Familiar building forms and materials were used to help integrate the social housing development with the greater community.
