The existing green environment is preserved and enhanced by additional planting and the planned replacement of existing trees. Trees are proposed as markers and as place-making elements.

Linkages between and within the major Precincts have been improved. Visual markers are intended to link the various spaces. Views from quiet areas overlook the active areas. Conversely, quiet areas are shielded from active areas by devices such as low level planting and seating elevation.

The External Spaces Master Plan for Milpera State High School defines the framework for the long term development of external spaces that will enhance the educational, sporting and collegiate environment of the school for students, staff, and volunteers.
