Norville State School Multi-purpose Hall

biscoe wilson | architects were commissioned to design and document a Multipurpose Sports Hall as part of the Building the Education Revolution (BER) Program.

Located in Bundaberg in south-east Queensland, the large multi-purpose hall has been designed for a variety of ball sports and general use for both the school and the community. A northern wedge-shaped annexe contains offices for sports teachers, amenities, canteen, and dual foyers for school and public uses.

Large storerooms have been included to the south for housing sports equipment for the hall and adjacent ovals.

The hall is designed with tilt up concrete walls and steel framed roof, while the northern annexe is light weight stud framed clad with fibrous cement and Colorbond wall sheeting.
