2007 RAIA Commendation (Brisbane Region)
The S House is a front extension to a 1980’s rendered masonry residence. The design provides a new facade externally, and independent living spaces internally. Central to the idea is the entry / stair device filled with natural light that provides opportunities to rest and observe. It acts as both a hinge to the connecting armatures that maintain the family community, and as a significant marker in the street elevation, referencing nearby older symbols of establishment such as elaborate gabled and gated frontages.

In 2015, Biscoe Wilson Architects were commissioned by the new owners to undertake further modifications to the original house. This focused modernising the rear of the residence to a standard that matches the previously modified street front addition.
