The Student Learning Centre has an ‘E’ plan to promote collaboration, permeability, cross ventilation, natural lighting and reduced circulation time. The floor plan also enabled double-sided external walls to all classrooms, allowing the building to breathe.
The two-storey specialist learning facility incorporated space for future expansion and linked on both levels to existing building platforms creating improved accessibility through the school.
The Multipurpose Hall provided for shared spaces with the local council and specialist sports training and education facilities.
Materials were selected for durability and to minimise long-term maintenance costs and to form part of a consistent built fabric throughout the school campus.
