The Gap State High School’s new Senior Learning Centre includes new General Learning Areas (GLAs), amenities, Flexible Learning Spaces (FLAs), Robotics Laboratories and Staff Facilities with facility for future expansion. General school accessibility was improved with provision of a lift connecting the new building to adjacent school platforms. The three-storey internal auditorium provides for small assembly of students for learning or social events and provides an acoustic buffer/screen for the classrooms from the carpark and the adjacent major arterial road. The screen design maintains expansive views and daylighting. The perforation patterning to the metal screening incorporates artwork by local artist Glen Henderson.
